It’s that time of year again…fresh hop harvest!

This year for our fresh hop ale, we decided to use local malt along with our local fresh hops. We got 3 types of malt from Double Eagle Malt in Huntingdon Valley, PA. They utilize single origin malt and share the name and location of the farms they work with.

We also took a ride up the road to Rob Nemchik’s hop farm in Bloomsburg, PA. We spent the day picking hops, starting at 7 am, and by 2 pm they were in the kettle. How’s that for fresh hops?

This great beer is available only at the pub, starting Sept. 2nd, until it’s gone.
