Since a young age, I've possessed a passion for the outdoors and drawing. When I was 8, my parents recognized and encouraged this passion by sending me to a local wildlife artist for private lessons. Throughout my teens, this interest slowly progressed into a chosen career path in the arts that began at Kutztown University during the fall of 2003. During my four year tenure at KU, I had the privilege to learn from some of the finest artists and craftsmen around the state and country; all of whom cultivated my God-given ability and guided me toward a Bachelors of Science degree in Art Education. During the summer of 2007, I was blessed to obtain a job at one of the premier public schools in the state and I have been a proud employee at Lewisburg Area School district since. I enjoy spending my time off in the summers fly-fishing on central Pennsylvania’s prolific limestone and freestone streams and have had the opportunity to fish across the country on some of the world's most well know trout waters.

I’ve always enjoyed working with charcoal and striving to connect with viewers by capturing moments and places that evoke feelings of nostalgia, but not until recently have I started to combine my passion for fly-fishing and art. As an art educator, I find it necessary to experiment with and explore different media, so my work varies from representational charcoal and watercolor renderings to more abstract oil trout body paintings on canvas. The purpose of my work is to honor and glorify God and reveal the wonder and beauty of his creations. Prints, greeting cards, and commissions are available upon request.  Additional artwork will be available soon at www.creativeonthefly.com.
